LIFE creating green jobs and skills

LIFE is a programme of the European Commission aimed at the implementation of the European environmental policy (http://ec.europa.eu/environment/life/index.htm). It provides funding for pilot projects across Europe. LIFE has published a collection of its projects aimed at the creation of new jobs and skills in the sustainability sector. It provides case studies to show how the low-carbon transition can bring significant opportunities for a sustainable economic development. Future qualification and skills needs in the construction sector

In 2009 the Danish Technological Institute delivered a study on behalf of the European Commission on the skills and competences that businesss in the construction sector will need in the near future to stay competitive and make their part in the low-carbon transition.
