Definition of design criteria for eco sustainable constructions, either in new buildings or renovations, taking into consideration both the optimization of energetic resources and the quality of the indoor environment either from the acoustic and hygrothermal point of view, or concerning the use of hazardous materials.

Studies have mainly been carried out through:

  • field investigations, i.e. through monitoring single elements as well as whole buildings using also innovative methods of analysis;
  • computer simulations in stationary and dynamic regimes;
  • reference to design and installation of domotic systems;
  • reference to the establishment of energetic and environmental certification systems for buildings.
