The main research of Dr. Senatro Di Leo deals with environmental monitoring and data analysis, with particular regard to air quality, and energy systems modelling and analysis for a comprehensive assessment of the impacts of anthropogenic activities. Since 2006 he was involved in the development of partial equilibrium models for the detailed analysis of energy systems. His current research interest includes evaluations of the role of local energy systems in efficient resource use and sustainable development, climate change mitigation and smart cities.
Senatro has been participating at the activities of several research projects, e.g. FP6 IP “NEEDS” (2004-2009), IEE Project “RES2020 “ (2006-2009) and FP7 CP “REACCESS” (2008-2010).
He's actually involved in: INTERREG IVC Project “Regional Strategies for Energy Conscious Communities” RENERGY (2012-2014).
